Howard Barker Lane, P.C.’s predecessor law firm was started on May 1, 1991 by its founding partner Molly M. Howard with Wayne Racz as Howard & Racz, P.C. Prior to founding the firm, Mrs. Howard and Mr. Racz were Partners at Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn, P.C. Howard & Racz engaged in a general litigation practice. In 1995, Mr. Racz left the practice of law to become a minister in the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. After his departure, Thomas “Tom” Whatley of Atlanta moved with his family to Isle of Hope to join the firm as a partner. On February 24, 1997, the name of the firm was changed to Howard & Whatley, P.C.
